How to take good care of your jewellery: 

All jewellery needs to be treasured, so to keep your item in a good nick & maintain its look, here are a few hints and tips:

• Products and chemicals can react with jewellery causing it to tarnish or plated items to lose their colour, so ensure you apply any skincare products or perfume before your jewellery and remove all plated items before bathing or swimming.
• We recommend storing your jewellery in a zip lock bag away from direct sunlight and heat, as exposure to the air and environment can cause it to tarnish over time.
• The best way to brighten up dull looking jewellery is by gently polishing with a specialised jewellery wipe or cloth. Do not polish plated items, as this will lift the colour. For stubborn dirt on silver, dips are available, but best avoided where possible.
• Finally, wear and enjoy.

Leather products and making them last:

We all know that a good quality leather product can last a lifetime if it’s well preserved and looked after. The manufacturers of our bags and purses finish their products to their preferred design and how they wish for them to be sold, therefore you aren’t expected to treat them. However, we have done some research for you, so if you wish to give them a little extra protection and keep them in good shape for longer, then check out the tips and tricks below:

• Cleaning your product: remove dirt build-up by wiping down with a cleaner made specifically for the leather in question and every now and then, give your bag a brisk sweep with a soft dry cloth.
• Conditioning your leather: it’s like moisturiser for your leather, which can dry out over time. To prevent ageing, apply conditioner to a soft cloth and rub gently all over the bag – it is recommended that you test your product on a small hidden area first, to ensure that it won’t effect the finish and colour of the leather before you apply it all over. Do this every so often to keep your bag shiny and new.
• Weatherproof your leather: Leather is permeable and can never be entirely waterproof, so try to avoid exposing it to extremely bad weather. We know this is sometimes unavoidable due to the unpredictability of the British weather, but there are beeswax creams which function as a barrier against water. Again, as stated above, beeswax may alter the hue of dyed leather, so test on an inconspicuous area first.
• Final tips: When you are not using your bag, store it in a dust-bag – if it didn’t come with one, then a soft cloth bag or even a pillow case and fill it with stuffing to keep it’s shape – popping in a packet of silica gel can help to ensure your bag doesn’t get damp. Let water spills dry naturally (do not expose to high heat!) and prevent colour transferring on to the bag by consciously resisting the urge to rest it against your jeans.
